Wine…

  • Lots of family and personal stuff going on right now.  It’s overwhelming.  But it is what it is, so…
  • I’ve misplaced my graduate certificate from the course I completed in June.  I need to find it because my bank needs a copy of it for my student loan stuff and work needs a copy of it because I’m up for promotion in the new year.  I think I’m going to have to call the college and order another one.  I can’t believe I’ve misplaced it…

Love

  • My cousin and very, very good friend was in town this week.  We had a wine and talk session that last until 4am on Wednesday morning.  It was so worth it.  She’s brave and strong and I’ve missed her so much.
  • My grandmother had surgery to remove a growth from her thyroid.  She came out of surgery, with no complications and everything went according to plan.  So lucky and thankful for that.
  • I’ve got a shower to go to this weekend
  • Ladies only #winetoreach this weekend!
  • I got my Moo business cards in the mail — and they were completely free thanks to a Klout perk!

Wine and Love: Ten

It’s been so long since I’ve posted a W&L.  Seeing as it’s Thursday, let’s get back on this bandwagon.

Wine…

  • It’s been a rough week, Tuesday was by far the hardest day.  I’d go into details, but I don’t really want to, nor can I, really.  So, yay, vague w(h)ine.
  • ROOFERS.  The job was supposed to take 5 days, but they ended up working on the roof for three weeks.  I had to deal with rubbish all over my drive way and in my backyard and falling through the exhaust fans in my bathrooms for three weeks.  A very unwelcome stress.  I get it needed to be done, but…. jeeeeez.

Love…

  • I passed my course and have already received my certificate in the post.  So… yay to another piece of paper
  • I’m really loving my uke.  Took it with me when we went to the cottage two weeks ago and it was awesome to have it around.  I’ve learned a lot of chords, but noticeably, the G, D, Em and C.  So I can now play practically any pop song ever written.
  • In order to counter the stress, I’ve added boxing back into my workouts.  It’s made a huge difference.  Really enjoying it.
  • I’m meeting with a potential client tonight.  Very excited about that.

Wine and Love: Nine

Wine & LoveOops, I’ve kinda fallen off the BEDJ bandwagon, haven’t I?  It’s been pretty busy around here, so I haven’t gotten down to it.  Plus, I often whinge about failing at coming up with blog post topics.  Luckily, it’s Thursday, though… which means time for Wine and Love.

  • It’s the same week in and week out; work.  I sound like a broken record, I realise.  I’ve taken a close look at what I would need to do to change this and I’m realising that things will probably never change.  So I need to either suck it up and deal with it, or move on.  So I’m working on that.

Love

  • It’s officially summer!   Looking forward to less traffic on the roads, slightly quieter office and the chance to get stuff done.
  • School’s out… Still waiting for those final grades.
  • It’s my fellow Vodka Girl and good friend, Heather’s birthday this weekend!  Go wish her a happy birthday!
  • Making music.  I’ve taken a bit of a hiatus from this while life has been busy and I was really starting to miss it.  I’ve start just messing around on my beloved Doherty.  She’s in need of a tuning.  I also really want to relearn the uke.  I’ve been having fun with it.  I’m not sure if I’ll go back to the band or not, but right now I’m just enjoying playing around with different arrangements and harmonies.
  • Speaking of harmonies and music:

Amazing, aren’t they?  I’m so impressed by the control they have over their voices.  There is also a video of the younger girl, Maisy, doing a cover of my favourite Aussie singer/songwriter Missy Higgins’ Secret.  Actually, here it is:
